Charity Golf Tournament
The Swings for Soldiers Golf Tournament is an annual charity event supporting ill and injured veterans through Soldier On. Since its inception, the tournament has combined golf with a meaningful cause, raising substantial funds.
Proceeds directly benefit Soldier On, funding programs vital for veterans' recovery and rehabilitation. These initiatives promote physical activities, skill development, and peer connections, crucial for veterans' well-being and quality of life.
The tournament symbolizes community spirit and generosity, uniting participants, sponsors, and volunteers to positively impact veterans' lives. It demonstrates how a shared purpose can create lasting change for those who have bravely served their country.

Corporal (Retired) Jayson Nickol
Director, Founder - Swings For Soldiers
I joined the Military in 2005 as a reservist with the Royal Winnipeg Rifles, and subsequently was attached to Princess Patrica’s Second Battalion out of Shilo, MB. From there I was deployed in Roto 1-08 to Afghanistan. On June 14, 2008, during a fire fight with the Taliban, I was shot with a AK-47 round which shattered my right femur. With help from my platoon I was safely extracted to Kandahar Airfield and then sent back home for treatment. After many months of rehabilitation I was able to walk again, but I still had a long road ahead of me. Soldier On assisted me throughout my journey with events and funding to help me regain some of my former self through sport. The support they give injured veterans cannot go unnoticed and with your support they can continue that great work.
Thank you for your support!
